Here's another sample from the Strickland Family Historical Image Archives.  Pictured here, from an image captured in 1954, from left to right:  Thurman Leroy Strickland, Jr.; Thurman Leroy Strickland, Sr.; Kirk E Strickland; and Edward Monroe Strickland.  That's right, four generations on one sofa.

Grandpa Lee's Surgery

Grandpa Lee had out-patient surgery last Wednesday. He went into the Ogden Regional Medical Center early in the morning and was released later the same morning. He slept a lot that afternoon and has experienced varying levels of discomfort since. Give him a call when you can.

Bria's 17th Birthday

We celebrated Bria's birthday with dinner at the Olive Garden in Layton.

9/11 Utah Museum of Fine Arts

On Sept. 11th, after working at KUED Media Solutions and capturing action images at a nearby soccer game, I attended an art exhibit. The Monet to Picasso exhibit at the University of Utah's Museum of Fine Arts was absolutely breathtaking. I was so impressed, I phoned my son Cameron and to my delight, he brought his wife Tara right over. They even brought a rainbow with them.
One of the works on display was Two Poplars on the Road to Saint Remy by Vincent Van Gogh (read more about this work at the link below: http://www.tracingvincent.com/blog/van-gogh-paintings-unique-utah-exhibition-00408 ).
